Nature's Books

Explore nature, learn low-tech printmaking, and create an accordion book with pockets. The first session focuses on nature observations and idea generation, while the second covers printmaking, binding demos, and work time. By the end, students will complete a personalized accordion book featuring their own insights and imagery.

Open studio allows students to independently explore and create. Please note that students need to provide their own tools and supplies, including clay and glaze. Firings are included.

Pottery

This class is done in partnership with the College of Arts and Humanities at UW-Parkside.

Develop your pottery skills! Learn to use the pottery wheel or, if you already know the basics, use this class to improve! A popular hobby, working in clay is often credited as being meditative, accessible, and relaxing-- even therapeutic. Class includes clay, firings, and access to modest collection of glazes.

Simple Fabric Decorating Techniques

Weekly, Tue, Oct 22-Nov 12 

5:30-7:30 pm | Cost: $80

This class is done in partnership with the College of Arts and Humanities at UW-Parkside.

Create custom decorative designs for sewing projects, quilts, or items already in your wardrobe! Techniques include easy batik processes, cyanotype printing, and playful use of fabric markers and paint, including spray paint. Participants will also be introduced to how to creating custom fabric through commercial printing services.
